Wild Tea

Most probably a relic of past cultivation, wild tea trees continue to grow naturally in bio-dynamic forests in several of the northernmost, mountainous provinces of Vietnam. Free from any human intervention other than harvesting, the leaves from these ancient (shan tuyet) trees are as natural as nature intended. Broad leaves and deep roots give the teas an added depth rarely found in farm grown equivalents. Although some trees may be as old as 800 years the typical age is believed to be between 80 and 200 years.
