Angel Tears originates from the famous tea area of Tan Cuong in Thai Nguyen province. Sourced from the same gardens of seed grown heritage Trung Du bushes as Fish Hook green tea, Angel Tears is produced using young, fresh leaf buds only. In Vietnam this style of tea is known as Trà Đinh or nail tea.

Harvesting the small buds requires great patience and care, ensuring the delicate leaves are picked at just the right stage of development and without damaging them. They are then processed using the same steps employed for other green teas – short wither, firing, gentle rolling and multiple drying cycles. A few grams of dried tea contain many hundreds of delicate buds. One day, we will get round to counting them.

Angel Tears produces a delightfully crisp and clear tea liquor in the cup. The aroma of young rice with enticing aromatics and long, sweet and rich lasting notes of freshly cut grass. Some might consider a buds only green tea to be an indulgence, but tasting is believing.
