First introduced in 2025, the new 2026 batch of Phoenix Tail white tea has exceeded expectations and is better than ever. Made with just leaf buds harvested from the tea makers own tea garden it is full of intoxicating character. Delicious mountain herb and light vanilla aroma, a creamy pale buttermilk liquor with captivating notes of melon, grapefruit and rose. The trademark white tea sweetness lingers long in the mouth and throat but in a soothing and gentle way. Phoenix Tail has medium bodied liquor and is a delightfully refreshing tea for any time of day.

A bonus feature of Phoenix Tail is that it continues to deliver brew after brew. In later infusions, grain notes of hay or wheat can be detected which hints that this is a tea which will age very well.  

Phoenix Tail is made by a Dao ethnic tea-maker using leaf buds harvested from larger, older trees on the family’s own land. The leaves are then slowly withered and dried by a combination of soft sunlight and gentle wind. Although white tea is frequently presented as the least processed of teas, the skill and attention required to make a great one cannot be underestimated. Phoenix Tail is an outstanding example of a job well done.
