The tea growing season of 2024 was characterised by a series of unusual weather events from early rains, violent storms and a lengthy, warm, dry spell towards the end of the year. Several batches of Oriental Beauty were made during the season but failed to meet expectations. However, the warmth of late autumn/ early winter encouraged the leafhoppers to continue with their leaf biting business for much longer, creating the opportunity for this late season surprise.

The result is a fascinating Oriental Beauty version with abundant muscatel, honey, spice and stone fruit flavours. This year's batch again scores highly with the quality of overall mouthfeel. Wonderful aromas, an incredibly smooth, full-bodied tea liquor, and long, sweet aftertaste are a delight from the tip of the nose to the bottom of the throat.

The character and profile of Oriental Beauty tea will change in interesting and fascinating ways during long term storage. Just be sure to keep it away from sources of heat, light and strong aromas.

Oriental Beauty is produced on the Moc Chau plateau at altitudes between 1100 and 1200 metres.  It is truly a rare tea of great quality.
