Lao Cai is a mountainous province in the north-west of Vietnam sharing a 180 km land and river border with Yunnan in China. The Hoang Lien Son mountain range runs through Lao Cai and includes Fansipan, southeast Asia’s highest peak. Ancient shan tuyet wild tea trees can be found in several of the border districts including Bac Ha, Bat Xat and Muong Khuong. Purple leafed trees can be found in both Bac Ha and Muong Khuong. Our Lao Cai range comprises green and dark teas.
