If you imagine that our Original Lotus Tea is the finest quality first class offering, then Lotus Two is its more affordable business class alternative. Using the same high quality materials – a fine forest grown, wild green tea from Ha Giang and fresh flowers from Hanoi lotus ponds – it undergoes a more streamlined blending process to achieve a balance between taste and price.

During the lotus season (approximately June to September) the flowers are picked at first light before the blooms have had a chance to open. The cut flowers are then taken for the intricate task of sorting, separating the fragrant anthers and careful blending with tea.

Lotus Two experiences a blending sequence that involves two traditional blending phases with fresh anthers over a six day period. It is then blended two further times with dried anthers. Approximately 500 flowers are used for each kilogram of tea. The resulting tea has the same hypnotic fragrance as Original Lotus but slightly less intense and retains top quality for fewer steepings.
