Water Genie Dark Tea is back on sale processed from a new high mountain location in Ho Thau, Ha Giang. A rustic sheng style sun-dried dark tea produced in a village house by Dao families, Water Genie is a warm, sweet and complex tea which is smooth in the mouth through successive steepings with just a hint of astringency.

Initial aroma is floral which reminded us of a subtle lavender fragrance. The flavour range includes tobacco, green herbs, sun-dried tomato and a little background spice.

Tea leaves are harvested from the large leaf wild trees that grow naturally in the mixed forests across the mountainous district. Harvested tea is collected from the surrounding mountains after which it is sorted, carefully pan-fired, lightly rolled and left to dry in the sun.
