Flowery Oolong is a lightly oxidised oolong tea produced on a small tea farm in Moc Chau, Son La province. In the cup the tea delivers fragrant floral and sweet pear notes complimented by a smooth creamy texture. Flowery Oolong always produces a clean, fresh brew that is both refreshing and satisfying.

Flowery oolong is produced using theThanh Tam (or “Qingxin”) cultivar developed specifically for Oolong tea production. After picking, the young tea leaves are sun dried, shaken in traditional bamboo drums before withering and drum firing.  The tea is rolled and dried up to ten times to achieve the final characteristic ball shape.

The tea is produced on a 33 hectare farm at an altitude between 1100 and 1200 metres on the fertile Moc Chau plateau. The farm employees 65 people and can produce 10 tonnes of finished tea each year. In addition to tea, Moc Chau is also well known for dairy farming and the growing of plums, apricots and various types of flowers, including orchids.
